Media Advisory: Partners to Launch Mobile, Place-Based Health Care for Vulnerable Residents

June 13, 2022, Ottawa, ON – Please join us for the official launch of the Mobile Health Clinic. 

The clinic is a collaboration between Pathways to Recovery, Recovery Care, Ottawa Public Health and Ottawa Inner City Health, is a tool to bring healthcare resources into communities in need. It is an important step in providing integrated services such as linking clients to community supports, providing harm reduction supply kits and peer support services to vulnerable residents, meeting them where they live.  

The clinic will officially launch on June 15 at 2:00 p.m. at 251 Donald St. 

Following the speeches, media will have the opportunity to tour the mobile health clinic.  

The launch will feature remarks by Donna Sarrazin, Managing Partner, Recovery Care Ottawa, Dr. Vera Etches, Medical Officer of Health, Ottawa Public Health, Brian Gilligan Chief Officer, Community and Tenant Support, Chantal Carter, Executive Director, Pathways to Recovery, Anne Marie Hopkins, Director of Operations, Ottawa Inner City Health and Councillor Rawlson King, Rideau-Rockcliffe, and OCHC Board member.

Recovery Care was founded in 2018 with the intent to provide patients and the community with a holistic approach to substance use disorders and Infectious Disease. Our team of Physicians, Physician Assistants, Nurses, Medical Support Staff, Housing Workers, Addiction Counsellor and Social Worker work together to support patients along their path.
